Xu Minghua(L), deputy governor of Hunan Province , Yuan Longping( M), deputy chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee and Wang Yanliang(R), inspector of the Science and Technology Education Department of Ministry of Agriculture jointly launched Hunan agricultural technical service information program.

Hunan initiated the move to encourage agricultural technology innovation in Changsha on February 20. An expert team will work to set up 100 agricultural technical service centers and carry out 100 agricultural technology projects. They will also endeavor to establish 100 core demonstration bases and train 10,000 technical staff to extend farming guidance farmers which will help in increasing their income and improving agricultural productivity.
   
14 agricultural technology innovation projects will be implemented including Super High-yielding Hybrid Rice program and tea plantation project.
   
This move aims to create direct economic benefits worth 2.225 billion yuan, bring an increase in income of 890 million yuan for farmers and generate 10 billion yuan social benefits with contribution rate of technology advancement up by 3%.

20日，湖南“科技兴农富民行动”在长沙正式启动。从即日起，湖南省农科院将通过成立湖南省科技兴农富民专家服务团，建立100个科技服务点，实施100项农业产业技术集成项目，建立100个核心示范基地，培训10000名农技人员，以行动带项目、以项目促行动，为湖南农业增效、农民增收、农村繁荣提供科技支撑。
   
本次活动将推进实施“超级杂交稻‘种三产四’”、“茶叶”等14项科技兴农富民行动。
   
本次活动的目标是：预计实现直接经济效益22.25亿元，农民增收8.9亿元，辐射带动全省创造社会效益100亿元以上，科技进步贡献率增长3个百分点。
